An afternoon with rabbits

​RABBITS had their field day recently at the amphitheater inside the Quezon Memorial Circle for the first ever Bunny Camp organized by leading local groups of rabbit enthusiasts.

The Philippine Association of Rabbit Enthusiasts and Farmers (PAREF) and the Philippine Rabbit Enthusiasts and Sales Club (PRESC) gathered existing members and new recruits in an afternoon of talks and games that highlight the fascinating world of rabbits. 

On display at Rabbit Camp 2016 were rare rabbit breeds of different shades and sizes. The show was done in part with the support of The American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA) and the Association of Rabbit Meat Producers. Also present were representatives of the Philippine Rabbit Hobbyists Association. 

Bill Gonzales, an officer for both PAREF and PRESC, told MetroPets that they are working to be a charter of ARBA to elevate the development of rabbits and rabbit shows in the country. 

The Rabbit Camp 2016 was attended by a mix group of rabbit sellers and rabbit pet owners who all enjoyed an afternoon of fun and games which include a rabbit race, grass eating contest and a rabbit fashion show. -- MetroPets
