Celebrate National Cat Lady Day

LOS ANGELES -- CatCon® - the convention with cattitude - announced that April 19th will be officially recognized as the first annual "National Cat Lady Day," a celebration of cat ladies everywhere. 

"The notion of the cat lady as a dowdy spinster has shifted dramatically over the past few years," said CatCon creator Susan Michals. "Now it's chic to be a cat lady! Designers like Stella McCartney  and Kate Spade are using cats in their designs, and celebrities like Dita Von Teese, Ke$ha, and Kate McKinnon are embracing their love of the feline with enthusiasm!" As further proof, CatCon released this video to showcase just how much cat ladies have changed.

​In regard to CatCon, Michals further added: "Just a look around the convention floor shows you the inimitable style, sass, and character that CatConners bring to their cat-loving lifestyle. They celebrate their cat lady-dom!" Joining CatCon to celebrate the day are influencers and companies like Catladyland, Cat Lady Box, Moshow the Cat Rapper and Cat Nouveau.
