THE just-concluded Pet Summit trade show scaled new peaks this year by successfully bringing together a world of pets in one place and a wide array of products from established and start-up pet companies.
At the show, pets literally had their field day as their owners took them booth hopping to try and shop for pet items and bring home freebies from generous exhibitors.
The afternoon show was also made busy with informative presentations that highlight important things about pet care and demonstrations that celebrate pets' unique skills and talents.
Different associations of pet lovers were also in attendance as well as animal welfare groups.
With all the adorable pets around, Pet Summit 2017 was definitely an Instagram-worthy event. Here are some of the interesting subjects we saw at the show.
BIG AND SMALL: A bull mastiff rests near a Chihuahua that decided a cooler is the best place to beat the heat.
DOG PEOPLE AND CAT PEOPLE. A woman enjoys a cold snack next to her Chihuahua while another lady poses for photos with the adorable British Shorthair cat from Pet Cafe by Velvet Friends.
PET ADVOCATES. Pet Summit also signed up key animal welfare and pet lovers' groups like the Metro Manila Development Authority's K9 Search and Rescue team and the Mini Pinscher Lovers Philippines, respectively.
PETREPRENEURS. Start-ups Fetch and Teddy Sage joined Pet Summit for the first time. Their products are inspired by the owners' dogs! Fetch makes hygiene pet products while Teddy Sage creates T-shirts for dog lovers.
MEET-UPS. Dogs had plenty of time to meet new friends at the summit. Here's a Chow Chow named Cindy wearing a bandana from Skarf PH and enjoying the adulation of the crowd that was snapping her photos. From a distance two dogs "kissed" while their owners weren't looking.
Pet Summit 2017 was organized by All4PetsParty.com and Paws & Tails Event Concept and Management in cooperation with Bonifacio High Street. The show was also made possible in collaboration with NexGard, HeartGard Plus and Frontline Plus as major sponsor brands and MetroPets Magazine as media partner.
