GOOGLE is a 26-kilo black Labrador with the exuberance of a puppy although he is almost seven years old. He loves physical activities and knows that one way he can get it is when he is being walked. This probably explains why he's almost beside himself and becomes super excited at the sight of his leash. Unfortunately, his eagerness to be out and exploring makes him pull on his leash too much.
Any dog that constantly pulls against its leash risks getting injured, especially around its neck and shoulders which get strained. It is also bad for the person holding the other end of the leash.
Because Google is a strong dog, he could jolt and drag his walker to the direction he wants to go. It's been known to happen that instead of being led, he leads by pulling on his leash.
Scouring the market for a superior dog harness for Google led us to a local shop that sells EzyDog collars, leashes and harnesses. Just looking at the materials would inspire confidence in dog owners that they are of premium quality and are put together really well. But high-end products come at a high price so purchasing this brand says a lot about how you care for your dog's well-being.
* Be easy to wear on the dog
* Fit the dog well and not constrain its movements
* The belts and clips must not get detached or come loose during the walk
* Give the dog walker control without applying unnecessary strength
* Make the dog feel comfortable and somewhat free, therefore eliminating its need to pull on its leash.
Because of their color, black dogs like Google are challenging to take for a walk at night. They could use some reflectorized material, which the EzyDog provides in the stitching. Choosing the Blaze Orange color to enhance Google's visibility was a no brainer.
Putting it on and taking it off the dog is literally a snap. Instead of getting confused and frustrated guessing how the dog should wear the harness and which belt goes to which clip, the EzyDog chest plate harness can be fitted onto a dog in three simple steps: lay it out on the floor; with the chest plate at the middle, place each of the dog's front legs between the two facing belts; bring the belts around the dog's back and buckle up.
The EzyDog chest plate harness has a non-corrosive D-ring where the leash is attached. It also comes with a seat belt car restraint to keep the dog in one place inside the vehicle so the driver will not get distracted.
EzyDog products come in different sizes – from extra small to extra large, and there are different colors to choose from. Pricey, yes, but these are very good investments if you want to give your dog the freedom of movement but keep him under your control while walking, playing or training. In the case of Google, the harness was a liberating tool for him to, as EzyDog's slogan puts it, go and play!
